A Legacy Born from Determination

Founded in 1957, the West Side Cubs began with a simple but powerful conversation among four men who witnessed boys playing unsupervised at a city park. From that moment, a vision was born—to give our youth a fighting chance to succeed, build character, develop discipline, and reach their full potential.

Their mission went far beyond football. It was about building the whole person—instilling values, fostering teamwork, and preparing young people to succeed not only on the field but also in life. What began as a conversation grew into a legacy of excellence, opportunity, and community pride that continues to inspire generations of West Side Cubs.
